BCAA 2:1:1: What it is and its benefits
Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) have become a key pillar for many athletes.
They contain leucine, isoleucine and valine in a 2:1:1 ratio, a balanced ratio designed to maximize the benefits of these amino acids.
Leucine, in fact, is mainly involved in muscle protein synthesis and the stimulation of muscle growth, while isoleucine and valine, although they play similar roles, are also important for energy production and muscle recovery.
BCAA 2:1:1 reduces muscle catabolism, thus preventing the breakdown of muscle proteins, protecting muscle mass and thus increasing endurance.
It promotes growth and repair of muscle tissue damaged during training, preventing further injuries. Post-workout muscle soreness is significantly reduced, promoting faster recovery.
Taking these amino acid supplements before or during training can provide an immediate source of energy for muscles, improving endurance and delaying fatigue. They are very useful for those following a low-calorie diet, as they provide protein with negligible caloric intake.
BCAA 2:1:1: How to use
Take 3 capsules of these post-workout supplements 30 minutes before physical activity, and 3 immediately after training.
